PARIS THIEVES GRAB A PURSE WITH $5.4 MILLION WORTH OF CHANEL JEWELS



French police are hunting a trio of thieves who made off with a handbag containing five million euros ($5.4 million) worth of Chanel jewels in a smash-and-grab on the highway between Paris and Charles De Gaulle airport,The Jakarta Post reports.

A Taiwanese art collector was travelling in a taxi Wednesday afternoon through the Landy tunnel when the thieves smashed the car window and snatched her handbag.

The jewels within were to be presented at the Paris Museum of Modern Art, said a source close to the investigation.
